As a photographer, I thought I chose my photo subjects. But trains and I have found each other over my years of local and international travel. My interest in photography has turned me into a photographic "Train Spotter.” My portfolio “All Aboard!" is a collection of trains I have discovered during my international travels to Switzerland, Sri Lanka, Slovenia; and my American travels to Nevada, California, Colorado, and my home state of Washington.  

Rolling, stationary, old, new, domestic, passenger, commuter, cargo, steam, diesel, high speed, inter-city, electric, freight, commuter, rapid transit, light rail, and modern streetcar. BART, BNSF, Santa Fe, Caltrain, Amtrak, Link, and oh so many possibilities. Big, beautiful hunks of sculptural metal moving very fast. Magnificent marvels of human art and technology. "Steampunk, baby!"

I am ready to buy a ticket and jump on board. If I am stuck at the station, I will vicariously enjoy the experience, and it is much easier to photograph a train when it is stopped at a station. If I can't get a ticket to ride, I will stand on the sidelines and absorb the energy! “I’m All Aboard” train photography.
